Community Safety

At ProWoke, we believe clothing can start conversations. Our goal is to create designs that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, humor, and self-expression while fostering a community built on respect.

We welcome satire, commentary, and bold ideas. At the same time, we want ProWoke to remain a place where creativity does not come at the expense of another person's dignity or safety.

By using our platform, you agree to follow not only the letter, but also the spirit of the following principles.

DON'T BE A BULLY.

Humor is an important part of ProWoke. We encourage wit, satire, irony, and social commentary. However, when a design "punches down" by targeting vulnerable individuals or groups, it stops being clever and becomes harmful.

Before publishing a design, ask yourself:

• Is this intended to start a conversation or simply insult someone?
• Could this encourage hatred or discrimination?
• Am I criticizing ideas and actions, or attacking people for who they are?

Designs that promote or encourage harassment, intimidation, or hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics will not be permitted.

These characteristics include, but are not limited to:

• Race or ethnicity
• Nationality or place of origin
• Religion or belief
• Caste or tribal identity
• Gender or gender identity
• Sexual orientation
• Age
• Disability
• Physical or mental health
• Immigration or refugee status
• Socioeconomic vulnerability

Criticism of beliefs, institutions, governments, ideologies, or public figures is generally acceptable. Attacks on people because of who they are are not.

KEEP OTHERS SAFE.

ProWoke does not permit content that encourages violence, abuse, or real-world harm.

Designs may not:

• Encourage physical violence against individuals or groups
• Promote terrorism or violent extremist organizations
• Celebrate acts of mass violence, genocide, or crimes against humanity
• Encourage self-harm or suicide
• Glorify abuse, sexual assault, exploitation, or non-consensual acts
• Promote dangerous misinformation that is likely to cause real-world harm

We support open discussion and debate. However, intentionally deceptive or harmful misinformation presented as fact may be removed when it creates a meaningful risk to public safety.

CELEBRATE HUMAN DIVERSITY.

People come from different cultures, backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

We encourage artwork that celebrates diversity, individuality, and inclusion.

Designs whose primary purpose is to demean, stereotype, or dehumanize people because of their identity will not be permitted.

When images, phrases, or other media become vehicles of liberation for historically oppressed groups, attempts to counter that media or present it with less than appropriate gravity can undermine its mission. ProWoke will remove any designs found to be harmful in this fashion (e.g. “All Lives Matter” designs). ProWoke strongly stands against human atrocities including but not limited to slavery, genocide, and colonialism. We will not host designs celebrating human atrocities, nor parties that have encouraged or been responsible for them.

Respectful humor and thoughtful social commentary are welcome. Hate is not.

QUESTION POWER. DON'T GLORIFY OPPRESSION.

Throughout history, art has challenged injustice, questioned authority, and inspired change.

We welcome designs that critique governments, corporations, institutions, and systems of power.

However, we do not allow content that glorifies or promotes organizations, ideologies, or movements responsible for systematic oppression, terrorism, genocide, slavery, ethnic cleansing, or crimes against humanity.

Likewise, designs celebrating hate groups, violent extremism, or symbols primarily associated with these movements are prohibited.

Historical discussion, education, satire, and artistic critique remain welcome when presented in appropriate context.

RESPECT CREATIVITY & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

Creativity is at the heart of ProWoke.

Whether your artwork is hand-drawn, digitally illustrated, photographed, or AI-assisted, you are responsible for ensuring that you own the necessary rights to commercialize your work.

Do not upload artwork that:

• Copies another artist's work
• Infringes trademarks or copyrights
• Uses protected logos, characters, or brands without permission
• Violates another person's intellectual property rights

AI-assisted artwork is permitted.

If AI tools are used during the creative process, we encourage transparency by mentioning them in your product description. AI should support your creativity, not replace it entirely.

We reserve the right to remove low-effort, mass-generated, or spam-like AI submissions that lack meaningful artistic contribution.

KEEP IT ORIGINAL.

ProWoke exists to showcase creative expression.

Submitting hundreds of near-identical designs, automated variations, keyword spam, or low-effort uploads diminishes the experience for everyone.

We may remove content that appears to exist solely to manipulate search results or flood the marketplace rather than contribute original creative work.

ENFORCEMENT

When evaluating content, we consider the context, artistic intent, potential impact, and severity of any violation.

Depending on the circumstances, ProWoke may:

• Remove individual designs
• Suspend product listings
• Issue warnings
• Temporarily restrict accounts
• Permanently remove users who repeatedly or seriously violate these standards

These guidelines are intended to evolve as technology, culture, and our community continue to grow.

Our goal is not to limit creativity, but to encourage expression that challenges ideas without causing unnecessary harm to people.
